Swipe File

A saved collection of effective hooks, posts and formats used as a reference library.

What it means

A swipe file is a personal library of content that worked - hooks, post structures, formats, subject lines - collected so you can study the patterns and draw on them later. The name comes from copywriting, where writers kept files of effective ads.

It's a study and inspiration tool, not a copy-paste source. The point is to internalize why something worked so you can do your own version in your own voice.

Why it matters

A blank page is easier to face with references beside it. A good swipe file turns "I don't know how to start" into "here are ten structures that have worked," which speeds up drafting without flattening your voice into imitation.

Create content in your voice - at scale

SelfScale learns how you write from your own posts, so every draft sounds like you, not a generic chatbot.
