Impressions vs. Reach
Impressions count total views of a post; reach counts the unique people who saw it.
What they mean
Impressions are the total number of times your content was displayed, including the same person seeing it more than once. Reach is the count of unique individuals who saw it. One person who sees your post three times is three impressions but one reach.
Both are visibility metrics, distinct from engagement, which measures what people did after seeing the post.
Why the distinction matters
Mixing them up distorts how you read growth. High impressions with low reach can mean a small audience seeing you repeatedly, not a widening one. Watching reach tells you whether you're actually getting in front of new people.
