Distribution

The work of getting content in front of an audience across platforms - often the bigger lever than production.

What it means

Distribution is everything that happens after the content is made: which platforms it goes on, how it's packaged for each, when it posts, and how it's cross-promoted. Production creates the asset; distribution creates the audience.

Most creators over-invest in making and under-invest in distributing. A good post seen by nobody loses to an average post seen by thousands.

Why it matters

The same idea can reach 200 people or 20,000 depending entirely on distribution. Once you can make content in your voice quickly, distribution becomes the constraint worth solving.
