How to Write a Twitter Thread People Read to the End
Structure a thread so the hook earns the read and the middle never sags.
The first tweet is the whole ballgame
Nobody reads tweet two until tweet one does its job. Spend most of your effort there: make a claim big enough to be worth a thread and specific enough to be believed. If the opener is safe, the thread is dead on arrival.
One beat per tweet
A thread is a staircase, not a paragraph chopped into pieces. Each tweet should land one clean idea and hand off to the next. When a tweet tries to carry two points, readers stall - and a stall on Twitter is a scroll.
Close with the takeaway, then the ask
End by restating the single thing you want them to remember, then make one clear ask: follow, reply, or share. Threads that trail off without a close leave the reader nowhere to put the attention you just earned.
