Authenticity (Content)
Content that reads as genuinely yours: specific, opinionated and human rather than generic.
What it means
Authenticity in content is the sense a reader gets that a real person with a real point of view is on the other end. It shows up as specificity - real examples, actual opinions, the occasional rough edge - rather than safe, averaged phrasing.
It is not the opposite of using tools. It is the opposite of sounding like nobody. A creator can use AI heavily and stay authentic if the output is grounded in their own voice and judgment.
Why it matters
Audiences have gotten fast at spotting generic content, and they scroll past it. Authenticity is increasingly the moat: it's the part a competitor can't copy and a default chatbot can't fake.
