You Have Permission to Have a Point of View

Balanced is safe and forgettable. A real point of view is what people follow.
Balance is a choice, not a virtue
"Here are the pros and cons of X" content feels responsible. It's also the content no one shares and no one remembers. Balance implies that the reader should form their own conclusion, which in practice means the content contributes nothing to that process.
Real expertise often produces a clear point of view: one option is usually better given specific conditions, one approach usually outperforms, one framing is usually more accurate. Saying so is being useful. Presenting both sides equally when you actually have a view is withholding the expertise the reader came for.
The risk is smaller than it feels
Taking a position feels risky because someone will disagree. That's true. But people who disagree in the comments are often your best distribution - they're making the post visible to their audience. People who agree will share it to validate their own position. The only scenario where a strong point of view underperforms is one where the point of view is poorly argued or factually wrong. Be right and be clear, and the risk is much smaller than the upside.
