The log structure

The capture step should have zero friction. Log the rough idea in one sentence without editing it. The filtering - choosing which to develop, which to cut - happens in the batch session. Mixing capture and judgment in the moment kills capture.
Review weekly
Once a week, open the log, mark anything published, promote the best unstarted ideas to active, and add anything new. A well-maintained log means every batch session starts with a full queue of ideas rather than a blank page.
